Dear Horned Frogs:
While walking across our campus, you can just feel the excitement about tomorrow's home football season opener against Colorado! There is a definite buzz among our student body, and it really extends throughout Fort Worth.
This game, and the attention it is garnering nationally, provides yet another tremendous stage for us to play on. We are the marquee game on the opening Saturday of the season. The most-watched window of the day is at 11 a.m. We are very appreciative of FOX selecting us for its top time slot. Going back to last year's Big 12 Championship and our two College Football Playoff games, this will mark our fourth straight contest with the nation's eyes squarely on us. It is definitely what you want as a program.
Make sure to arrive early to be part of FOX's Big Noon Kickoff show which begins at 9:00 a.m. and will take place from the Dee J. Kelly Alumni & Visitors Center Lawn, the same location as last year when BNK was here for our win over Texas Tech.
The game has been sold out for a while, but standing room only tickets are available for $60. Our Amon G. Carter Stadium record crowd was 50,307 for the memorable 2009 win over Utah. With the way things are trending, do not be surprised if a new mark is set!
