MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – TCU led from start to finish to earn its first win at WVU Coliseum in a 93-81 victory over West Virginia Wednesday in Morgantown, W.Va.

The Horned Frogs (20-10, 9-8) made nine of their 11 3-pointers in the first half to build a 23-point lead. That lead never dwindled lower than 10 the remainder of the game.

Senior forward Emanuel Miller scored a team-high 21 points on 8-of-13 shooting from the field. Jameer Nelson Jr. scored 17 points on 3-of-3 shooting from three and dished out a team-high six assists. Chuck O'Bannon Jr. and Trevian Tennyson came off the bench and each made three from beyond-the-arc.

The Mountaineers (9-21, 4-13) outshot the Frogs from the field, 56.9 percent to 55.6 percent to make the game interesting. That included making seven of their last eight attempts from the field.

Jesse Edwards had 36 points and 13 rebounds. The big man was 6-of-18 from the free throw line, part of a 19-of-34 (55.9 percent) effort for the Mountaineers.

The Horned Frogs continued their solid free throw shooting, making 22-of-26 attempts from the line for 84.6 percent. It was their fourth-straight game of 80 percent or better from the charity stripe.

TCU concludes the regular season on Saturday at 4 p.m. when it hosts UCF. The game will be shown on Big 12 Now on ESPN+.

Team Notes
  • TCU improved to 7-18 all-time against West Virginia and 1-11 in Morgantown.
  • Jamie Dixon improved to 19-16 against the Mountaineers.
  • The Frogs improved to 6-5 on the road. It is the most wins on the road since the 2004-05 season when they also had six.
  • TCU reached 20 wins for the sixth time in eight seasons.
  • It was Dixon's 18th 20-win season in his 21 seasons as a head coach.
  • It was TCU's ninth Big 12 win, which tied a program best. The Frogs had nine conference wins last season.

  • TCU forced WVU into 15 turnovers. The Frogs have forced their opponents into 10 or more turnovers in all but four games this season.
  • The nation's leader in fastbreak points, TCU finished with 12 and held WVU to five.
  • TCU's 53 points in the first half were its most in a Big 12 game this season.
  • TCU was 11-of-23 from the 3-point line for 47.8 percent. It tied a season-high for makes this season.
  • The Frogs were 22-of-26 from the free throw line for 84.6 percent. It was the fourth-straight game that TCU shot over 80 percent from the line.
Individual Notes
  • Emanuel Miller scored 21 points, his 18th consecutive game in double-figures and eighth 20-point game this season.
  • Miller moved up two spots and is tied with Kevin Langford at No. 18 all-time in TCU scoring with 1,227 points. He passed Michael Strickland.
  • Miller's five rebounds tied for the TCU lead with Avery Anderson III and Essam Mostafa. Miller has led the Frogs in rebounding in 13 games this season.
  • Jameer Nelson Jr. scored 17 points, his second-most of the season. He was 3-of-3 from 3-point range.
  • Nelson led TCU in assists for the third-straight game with six.
  • Trevian Tennyson was 3-of-6 from three and finished with nine points to go with six points. It was his second-straight game with three 3-pointers and 11th multi-three game in Big 12 play.
  • Chuck O'Bannon Jr. made all three of his 3-pointers in the first half. He finished 3-for-5 from three.
  • Anderson made a season-best seven free throws on eight attempts.
  • TCU was without Ernest Udeh Jr. for the fifth-straight game with a lower left leg injury.
