GoFrogs: Frimodt Earns NCAA Regional Bid

FORT WORTH – Gustav Frimodt will begin postseason play at the NCAA Regional on May 13 at the University of Texas Golf Club in Austin, Texas.

It is the 33rd consecutive season that TCU's men's golf will have representation in the postseason.

Frimodt will make the third NCAA Regional appearance of his career. He finished tied for 28th place in 2021 at the Seminole Legacy Golf Club in Tallahassee, Fla., and tied for 43rd at last season's regional at Auburn University Club in Auburn, Ala.

The regional will consist of 18 holes each day starting May 13 and concluding May 15. The top five teams and the low individual not on an advancing team will advance to play in the championships at Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, Calif., May 24-29.

Frimodt's lone NCAA Championship appearance came when the Horned Frogs advanced as a team in 2021.

The senior from Glamsbjerg, Denmark is enjoying the best season of his career. Currently ranked 23rd in the World Amateur Rankings and seventh in the PGA Tour University rankings, Frimodt is coming off a Big 12 Co-Championship last week at Whispering Pines.

Frimodt also earned co-medalist honors at the season-opening Valero Texas Collegiate. Of his 25 rounds of golf this season, 20 have been at or below par and he holds a scoring average of 70.2.
