GoFrogs: Curtis, Patrick Named to NFF's Hampshire Honor Society

IRVING, Texas -- TCU tight end Chase Curtis and offensive lineman Willis Patrick have been selected to the National Football Foundation's Hampshire Honor Society.

The Hampshire Honor Society recognizes seniors or graduated players with a minimum undergraduate cumulative grade-point average of 3.2 while being a starter or significant contributor.

Curtis, who returns to the Horned Frogs this fall, was enjoying a career-best season over the first eight games last year before being sidelined by injury. His 15 receptions still placed ninth on the team. He scored his first collegiate touchdown on a 36-yard catch for TCU's final points in the 34-17 win over SMU. He had at least one reception in seven of his eight games and was again a top special teams performer with three tackles on the season.

A Pittsburg, Kan., native, Curtis earned his TCU degree in economics with a general business minor.

Playing as a graduate student, Patrick started all 12 games at right guard in his lone season at TCU. He earned Second-Team All-Big 12 Conference honors from the Associated Press. His 978 snaps played were the most by a Horned Frog on either side of the ball. He recorded a team-best 35 knockdown blocks on the year with an 85 average grade.

Patrick received his degree from Jackson State, majoring in criminal justice and correction services.
