Not true. I won't share the sad story, but at least one person has been killed by lightening at a fb game.

I know of one killed by lightning during a practice and there wasn't a drop of rain anywhere around or even the hint of lightning. Admittedly it could have happened to anybody outside including anyone in the band or the flag corps which was practicing on the adjacent parking lot.
