FWST: TCU's Patterson has harsh words for SMU

TCU football coach Gary Patterson lashed out at SMU on Tuesday and promised to sever communication with the school for a perceived slight by Mustangs coach June Jones and a comment by receiver Darius Johnson.
"SMU people have been looking down at TCU people for a long time," Patterson said. "The older [fans] and alumni around here had a certain feeling about SMU. I didn't have that feeling, but I'm getting it."
Patterson was upset by comments Jones made to The Dallas Morning News before the Mustangs' 40-33 overtime victory on Saturday in the "Battle for the Iron Skillet." ...
