There have been signs of progression on the defensive end for TCU over the last five games, but Saturday’s battle at BYU will be the true litmus test of how far the Horned Frogs have come on defense.

Over the last five games, TCU has allowed an average of just 67.6 points per game. That would be good for No. 67 in the country and is better than the Horned Frogs’ scoring defense last year.

Coach Jamie Dixon credited the development of Avery Anderson and Jameer Nelson Jr. for the improvement on defense.

It ain't out defense that worries me. BYU rebounds well and has less than 11 turnovers per game. That is the worst combination of stats for the Frogs' offense. If we can't score on fast breaks, we have an absolutely pathetic offense. Good rebounding and ball security really hurt a fast break offense.

Also, if you sell out to cover BYU on outside shooting they can kill you on backdoor cuts, which we haven't defended well all year.

Just have to stay on your man and switch when needed. Our sinking a man down low 15 ft off our man could result in a quick start for the opponent which we’ve seen a lot in big 12 play
