Predicting how TCU football will fare in what’s become a wild Big 12

You may have a better chance of hitting the Mega Millions jackpot that has climbed to $654 million than predicting how a Big 12 football weekend is going to unfold.
That’s how wild Week 7 was for a conference that prides itself on everybody playing everybody. Common opponents and what happened in previous weeks doesn’t seem to carry much weight.
Iowa State lost to TCU to open Big 12 play, and has now gone on to beat a then-ranked Oklahoma State team and an undefeated, No. 6-ranked West Virginia. In different ways, of course. ISU gave up 42 points to Oklahoma State in a shootout, and then limited West Virginia to 14.
