FWST: Good isn't good enough for TCU

Helena Sverrisdottir and her three senior teammates held a players-only meeting last week before the TCU women opened their season Friday.
The message was simple: Don't take your foot off the pedal.
The No. 23 Horned Frogs host rival SMU (0-1) at 6:30 tonight at Daniel-Meyer Coliseum after winning their opener over Houston Baptist 96-38. Sverrisdottir, the reigning Mountain West Conference Player of the Year, had 15 points, six rebounds and five assists, and the Frogs never stepped off the gas.
The player they call Ice -- she's a native of Iceland -- and senior Emily Carter, who scored a career-high 26 points in the opener, are two of four returning starters expected to lead the Frogs to another MWC title and NCAA Tournament berth.
