Free throws and defense working against TCU in Big 12 crunch time

TCU continues to be one of the highest-scoring teams in the country, but cracks on defense are showing.
The Frogs rank last in field goal percentage against and next to last in scoring defense in the Big 12 going into Wednesday night’s game at Texas.
“Our defense is not where we need to be,” coach Jamie Dixon said after last week’s loss to Kansas, in which the Horned Frogs gave up 50.9 percent shooting and a season-high 33 free throw attempts. “We continue to bail people out and get them to the free throw line, and we’ve done it in these two [losses] in conference play.
“We’ve got to learn from it. I think we will. I believe in these guys.”
