Ex-TCU quarterback Trevone Boykin charged with aggravated assault in Mansfield

MANSFIELD – Former TCU and Seattle Seahawks quarterback Trevone Boykin was arrested Wednesday afternoon on charges of aggravated assault with serious bodily injury, according to a release from the Mansfield Police Department.
Boykin was accused of domestic violence against his longtime girlfriend, Shabrika Bailey, according to a report from WFAA. Boykin allegedly broke Bailey's jaw, which was swollen and wired shut when she sat down for an interview with the news station on Monday night.
"On March 21, 2018 Mansfield Police Officers were called by Parkland Hospital staff in Dallas, Texas regarding an alleged assault which was said to have occurred in the city of Mansfield, Texas. Officers responded and met with the victim who provided a statement about an assault that occurred in 2300 block of Richmond Circle in Mansfield," the police release said.
