Construction on TCU’s $40 million Athletics Human Performance Center renovation and expansion kicked off last month.

Announced in 2022 with a gift of $10 million from the Jane & John Justin Foundation, the donor-funded project will benefit student-athletes in all 22 of TCU’s athletic programs by 2025. Here’s a look at what’s to come.

Bob Lilly Performance Center

The renovation will include updates to the training facility with a studio for the women’s triathlon program, a yoga room, an outdoor warm-up area, and expanded space for free weights, cardio, and nutrition.

Games aren't won or lost on the field, they're won in 6AM pilates on Wednesdays in early February. Championship programs needs championship yoga rooms.

Competition. Even in top companies, if you want to the best Milenial and Gen Z talent, you have a Yoga room. Apple does, my company does, all the top companies do.

Denying the value of yoga for athletes is ignorant to start... but also not realizing the value of hosting recruits while yoga classes are active is just embarrassing. "This is chess, not checkers!" Someone post the gif.

Glad to see Bob Lilly honored that way.

Ironically though, I believe the story on Lilly was he was the strongest on the team but didn't really work out. He was country big and strong.
