Chris Simms, quarterback for the Longhorns from 1999-2002, admitted to accepting money from University of Texas boosters while he was on the Dan Patrick Show on Thursday.

Simms also claimed that boosters giving money to student-athletes happens all the time, and that it's "stupid" to think that it doesn't happen...

Did Simms specify if UT boosters paid him? The way he played against OU and CU in 2001, is would appears the Sooner and Buff Bagmen were making the payments

I think it's just interesting getting the actual confirmation of it. I don't think anyone is saying we should punish UT for this now.

I don't have any problem with punishing UT. I'd rather see it done on the scoreboard by TCU, because that has got to hurt more than anything the ncaa could do (but I think UT has an immunity get out of jail card anyway).
