SMU is embarrassing itself with this offer to join the ACC for no share of media. They are saying the ACC can have them for free and they ACC is like... 'no-thanks'. Means SMU has negative value to the ACC.

SMU pulled this same b.s. by politicking to get into the Big 12 when we were bound for the Big East and again shortly after when we were Big 12 bound. I remember Brian Estridge saying "if you have to ask, you're not getting in." Even if they were to go without TV revenue for many years, they still add nothing. Essentially, I suspect their tv revenue is going to be drastically reduced from the current $7m in the AAC so what do they have to lose?

What the scheiss has SMOO done to earn a step up to P5? Help raise awareness about crimes against hookers that occured on no less than five occasions allegedly? Because that's about all of their accomplishments I can see in the past 23 years.

Here's what TCU had to do earn a slot in the Big12:

• Win ten games nine times from 2000-2011.
• Win six conference championships.
• Two consecutive 12-0 regular seasons in 2009 and 2010.
• Two consecutive BCS berths.
• Win the Rose Bowl against an 11-1 B1G champion to cap a perfect season.

SMU fans(Baylor/Ut fans as well) have no idea that TCU worked there butts off to get to the Big12
