Craig Thopson to be commish of merged MW/CUSA

The football divisions of the new, merged, 17-team MWC-USA shake out pretty simply:

West:
-Air Force
-Colorado St.
-Fresno St.
-Hawaii
-Nevada
-New Mexico
-UNLV
-UTEP
-Wyoming

East:
-East Carolina
-Marshall
-Memphis
-Rice
-Southern Miss
-Tulane
-Tulsa
-UAB
-Add an 18th team: La. Tech, University of North Texas, Troy (in the existing footprint) or they could try to get back into Florida with FIU or FAU (doesn't really matter)

Two 9-team divisions, they play conference games only in their division and the division winners meet in a championship game.

Say NO! to Banowsky. I would much rather have Thopson.

FIFY.

Seriously, I think Thopson was a messenger or a mouthpiece for the MWC presidents that gave or are giving TCU a backhand on the way out of the conference.

Banowski, on the other hand, seemed to take the lead on the force-TCU-back-to-the-Mobile-Bowl conflict. I hope the TCU administration is very, very cautious about supporting Banowski for any responsible job in the B12.

"Thopson" seems like a better describer of "Hair" than "Thompson" is. Thopson has been beaten up in the MWC so much that I hate to think of him as a desirable commissioner-candidate.
