Great someone on the staff knows all his defensive signals. Also terrible thought: There is a not insignificant chance that Gary is interim head coach when we play them in Waco.
The statue is a monument to what he did for TCU football. Almost nothing he can do in later life could overshadow that, and nothing he can do could undo it. I'm generally of the school that prefers to wait for the subject's death before immortalizing him in statue, but I'm not losing any sleep over this one being there. GP will forever be the TCU coach of my heart.Put a BU hat and a BU sweater on it. Statue was erected WAY too soon. Now, it is a joke.
Has there been an instance when an assistant was hired to permanently replace his former boss after the boss was fired for poor performance? I can’t think of one.Perhaps he is sniffing around a HC opening at Baylor. Aranda is for sure on the hot seat this year.
Speaking of his former staff, he will be reunited with Jarrett Anderson, whose hiring at Baylor last month I missed. You clearly don’t know much about Gary’s staff over the years then, particularly the last 6-8 years of them. That was one of, if not the biggest gripe about his tenure, his inability to fire those that were not competent.
I was just thinking how often does the interim coach get the new job. Usually want a housecleaning.Has there been an instance when an assistant was hired to permanently replace his former boss after the boss was fired for poor performance? I can’t think of one.
Do you think he’d be a good coach in this new college football environment? I don’t.He sold HARD for a head coaching gig over the last year. It says something that no one would take him....even with his credentials. Wild.
Didn’t know that either, wow.Speaking of his former staff, he will be reunited with Jarrett Anderson, whose hiring at Baylor last month I missed.
He dared speak ill of their lord and savior warden art.Why would Baylor fans still hate Patterson? All he did was beat them on the field more than he didn’t. Nothing evil about him.

Gary hasn’t coached for money in a very long time my man…Can't hate Gary, no matter what he does, but this is sure a disappointment. Does he really need money that much?
Obvious differences noted (analyst, and not on staff at time of firing) but Dykes was somewhat close to that description.Has there been an instance when an assistant was hired to permanently replace his former boss after the boss was fired for poor performance? I can’t think of one.
Could obviously make a case that his last two years were poor, but technically Fitz was fired for the hazing scandal.David Braun at Northwestern less than 3 months ago.
