nice find. got to think the legacy pipeline has to start improving now that athletes from 1995-2000 era and on are having kids old enough to play. These parent athletes knew a TCU that was heavily investing in sports and starting to have success. One can hope the letterman athletes successfully indoctrinated these kiddos as frogs as the top 10 winning began late in the 2000s. Lots of players went into coaching also.

pretty sure Rafael Priest has a kid coming through in 2027 we should be talking to now

Guidry does not just have a quick first step off the ball, he has four or five steps. He is a recking crew all by himself. No wonder everyone in the state wanted him.

Guidry has a good but not great 247 three-star composite ranking of .8652 - listed there at only 6’1” and that ain’t big.

The 2024 class and now the start of this 2025 class appear to show the Frogs did not get a bump in recruiting from reaching the 2022 playoff - the 2024 class was #34 and the average player rating was less than the 2023 class.

Appears to be the reality of being a small private school versus a state flagship.

We always have conversations about stars and potential. Yes we did try and go after 5 star players after the NCG and... well it did not happen. So yes we are not a blue blood program and we did not do a great job recruiting after that season. So that being said we still must focus on getting quality 4 stars and 3 stars with upsides. The reason we focus on transfers with experience is also about their upsides after getting experience somewhere else. Will that work? I guess we will see.

I'm going to say that if he is or was a UT target he's a good get.

Look at his junior season films and you can see why programs are interested in this young man. He has good balance, rapid acceleration off the ball and sheds blockers. You can work with that.

Being in the playoff and beating Michigan in Jan 2023 is the reality of our small private school.
