This was my biggest worry watching this game. Our undoing last year as much as anything else was the inability to defend the 3. One game is admittedly a small sample size, but I'm a little nervous about how well they shot from deep. Very few of those makes were contested and, until late in the game when they were trying to throw up prayers to come back, they were shooting over 50% from behind the arc. ISU beat us with the 3 last year as did several other teams. If we can't defend that better this year we may be in a lot more close games than we should.

Was great to see Bane go off last night. Noi can take long strides towards the basket - he's gonna be something special. I like what I saw last night for sure. Even the Hamdy steal and dunk looked fairly explosive.
