Even if we don't close with the big timers we hoped, I'm pretty sure we will still have our best class ever ( on paper )... The future is bright

Looking like no DT and no grad transfer OTs.

So we finish with Simpson and Corbin and maybe Washington or Brule?

Seems weird to not take a full class, but maybe there are couple to come out of the woodwork at the end? Seems so silent at this point, but maybe that is because of the early signing day?

Early signing day definitely changed the dynamic of everything. We got most of our class locked up early, so there’s less news on targets (and less signing day anxiety), and also a ton of the kids we would normally pick up in late Jan or early Feb have already locked in their spots elsewhere. There’s a lot more competition for the top targets left out there ... lower star guys are signing at G5 programs instead of risking not having a landing spot. Some of those guys will turn out to be overlooked gems.

Totally agree .... there are differing reasons ... but the primary issue has to be waiting for the dominos to fall to obtain an offer they would prefer, but yet have ... to overstate the obvious.

It is very Rod Dog Esque. No matter what the post is, he always brings it back to the same talking points. Must suck to be a Tech Football fan on a TCU board where we have won 3 out of the last 4 and one of those was 82-27.

There are hundreds of dogrod types out there trolling the Horns/ Baylow/ A&M/ NTSU Texas State/ UTSA/ SMU/ UTA/ Sam Houston State/ Texas Southern/ SFA/ Texas Lutheran/ and on and on.

Must be painful after almost a decades of saying the frogs would never be able to make it with the Big Boys, even after we won the Rose Bowl and finished #2 in 2010 ... kept saying that anyone could win on any given day and the reason we were ranked so high was because of our weak schedule... though we beat 2 top 5 teams that year.

It's a down right shame the Techsters never...
a) were a football Big 12 Champion ever, over the past 20+ years in B12
b) Oops .... little TCU was Co-Champs it's 3rd year
c) while the Techers finished in the bottom division during our 1st 6 years.
d) yikes ... and toads also had 2 1st runner up years in those 6 seasons

And only more of the same for the Raider Fans, that keep trolling.

Have a different perspective than many on here... prefer the trolling so we can continuously remind them of the accomplishments over and over and over again.
