What if they had chosen TCU over Texas?

Just looking at the Texas roster as wondering "what if" regarding a few players.

* WR Darius White from Ft. Worth caught one pass in five games

* CB A.J. White of DeSoto had 3 tackles in two games

* LB Tevin Jackson of Garland was redshirted

* LB Tariq Allen of Irving was redshirted

* WR Chris Jones of Daingerfield was redshirted

* QB Connor Wood of Houston was redshirted

* RB Traylon Shead of Cayuga was redshirted

* DE Jackson Jeffcoat of Plano played in 6 games with 13 total tackles. He has been converted to DT.

* TE Dominique Jones of Kilgore played in 3 games and caught 2 passes

* DT Ashton Dorsey of Tyler (6'2 295) was redshirted and now has to battle Taylor Bible, Jackson Jeffcoat, Greg Daniels, and Reggie Wilson for playing time. This does not take in consideration the new recruits.

* DE Reggie Wilson of Haltom had 5 tackles in two games before injury. Now he is a DT

* DE Tevin Mims of Round Rock had one tackle in one game. He could be playing on the other side of Maponga.

Granted, not all of these would have played for us last year. Just curious as to which ones you think would have contributed for us last year.

With all of those players, we probably would have gone 15-0 last year.

Always the same ol' story at Texas. They not only watch who is in front, but from behind.

GP does such a better job of managing kids.

Wilson lining up opposite Maponga; that would be beyond amazing. Jeffcoat is the only one on that list who has gotten significant time. Shead and White would have had the same issues getting on the field here.

Jackson Jeffcoat is going to be an absolute beast for them. Where did you hear that he is being switched to DT? I haven't seen that anywhere.

With our problem recruiting DTs, it would have been nice to land Dorsey. He will have difficulty getting on the field with Wilson, Bible, Jeffcoat, and next year, Malcolm Brown from Brenham.

It wouldn't have changed our 2010 season much if any. Oh and you are wrong about Wilson and Jeffcoat moving to DT.
