MUSCATINE, Iowa - Brance Rivera can hardly stomach watching this week's College World Series in Omaha, Neb.

It was just a year ago that Rivera was helping Texas Christian University reach college baseball's premiere event.

And with nearly its entire squad returning this spring, the Horned Frogs had aspirations of a second trip.

"We thought we had a team which could win a national championship," Rivera said. "Last year, everything fell into place for us." ...

Glad to know Brance will be back. We have the pieces, the talent. Just have to put it together. Something was missing this year. Hopefully the team will regain the mojo it had in 2010 and have a healthy 2012.

Consistent performances and a healthy team were missing last year.

Some advanced leadership skills next year from some guys, plus the massive influx of talent.... Could be good.

What an outfield the Frogs can have with Von Tungeln showing resurgence late in the season. Brance is a great kid and will be a leader, along with Elander and Witte.
