CINCINNATI — Out of his football uniform, Andy Dalton exudes the flat-line personality of an accountant and looks as if he should be painting a white picket fence alongside Tom Sawyer.
Not much is dynamic about the redheaded rookie quarterback for the Cincinnati Bengals, but his unflappable demeanor has already made converts of his coaches and teammates.
“He’s a winner,” Bengals rookie receiver A.J. Green said. “He’s got the fire inside.”
Dalton showed it yesterday by shaking off a horrible first half and rallying the Bengals from a 14-point second-half deficit to a 23-20 victory over the previously undefeated Buffalo Bills. ...
