Sugar Land Sun: Hightower’s Igodan concludes stellar career at TCU

Hightower graduate Yvonne Igodan displayed promise early, winning Mountain West Conference Freshman of the Year honors in 2010. She leaves TCU among the best to play in the program, ranking among the career leaders in several categories.
 
Igodan turned in a strong senior season at TCU this past fall, leading the Horned Frogs with 3.03 points per set and 287 total kills. She averaged 2.59 kills and recorded 82 blocks in 112 sets to contribute to a 16-15 record. The former Lady Hurricane earned American Volleyball Coaches Association All-Southwest Region honorable mention recognition following the season.
 
Igodan departs TCU ranked in the top 10 in blocks (5th, 299), hitting percentage (6th, .307) and blocks per set (8th, 0.76). She graduated from Hightower in 2010 and started 13 matches as a true freshman.
 
She led TCU with 91 blocks as a sophomore, then posted a team-high 3.24 kills per set as a junior, earning Big 12 honorable mention.
