St. Louis Post-Dispatch: Neinas says TCU solidifies Big 12

The addition of Texas Christian to the Big 12 is evidence that the wobbly league is 'solidifying," interim commissioner Chuck Neinas said Tuesday, a point he hopes Mizzou embraces as it mulls a move to the Southeastern Conference.
And to hear Neinas tell it, MU will be chewing on it for a time to come despite an undercurrent in Columbia that a decision will be known by next week.
"If Missouri were going to change horses, it wouldn't be for 2012, anyway," he said in a teleconference.
It's unclear what Neinas based that on, but it may be linked to exit fee considerations and posturing.
Big 12 bylaws hold that a school will forfeit 90 percent of its conference revenue if it gives 6 to 12 months notice. The penalty drops incrementally down to 50 percent for "proper" two years' notice. ...
