BYU glorified version of Boise State.

Anyone surprised?

Newsflash zoob: ESPN doesn't want BYU because they're the golden calf of Provo. ESPN sees BYU as a glorified version of what they had with Boise State. Sure they'll pay you more money than they paid Boise and the WAC and that amount of money will sure be a lot better than what you're getting out of the Mtn. contract, but lets not confuse apples with oranges. What BYU offers ESPN in the form of attractiveness is that BYU maintains ESPN's bottom line, which is the revenue generated from consistent 1.8 - 2.4ish tv ratings. ESPN will lowball BYU in a contract and BYU will take the money because A) it is about the money (not the exposure) and B) because the alternative will be to go back to the now poorer Mtn. West where BYU is no longer wanted (even in light of all the $666's the conference will apparently be losing). Meanwhile, ESPN will continue to grow with the real cash cows they've obtained named BCS Bowls, SEC and Big 12......oh and let's just wait to see what hand they'll play in the PAC 12's new tv contract negotiations.
