Scheduling just got easier for football

Here is the list of teams we've played in regular season nonconference road/neutral since the last time we played at University of North Texas in 2001:

SMU
Northwestern
Arizona
Texas Tech
Oklahoma
Baylor
Army
Texas
Stanford
Virginia
Clemson
Oregon St

All are either teams from AQ conferences plus SMU and Army. This is no accident.

There is no reason to change anything. Playing on the road against no name/no history FBS team isn't worth it. It doesn't help our SOS or in the court of public opinion and even a close win hurts.

If GP wants an easy game, a home only game is the best answer. If we can get a Sunbelt level team in for a home only, great. But if not, a home only with a FCS team is best over having to return.

KFKS is probably right, particularly if TCU had to return to someplace like Nacogdoches or San Marcos. But returning to play in the Alamo Dome is a different matter because of stadium size and media market. We would move the car wrecks and drug busts off the media in SA if we played there, for a little while at least.
