SA Express News: Texas Apologizes to Georgia, SEC for Fan's Behavior and Awaits Possible Fine

SEC is requiring TU to identify the folks who tossed stuff and ban them for the rest of the year. And that TU review its alcohol policies. That may be the only way to nip this in the bud. But, if the miscreants were large donors, then what?

Looked like most of the debris came from the student section. So they may get away with just a handful of butt-hurt students

So, where do the revenues from fines go? Does the SEC calculate them in when they distribute payouts so Texas will get 1/16 of that money back, or will they donate it all to the Charitable Home for Aggy Orphans or something?

If the latter, this could be the Trojan horse for the Big XII to even out the revenue gap. All we have to do is infiltrate every SEC student section at every game and endlessly throw trash on the field. Between those fines and coaching buyouts the entire conference will be on skid row and only Mike Slive and Jimbo Fisher will have any coin.

By the time I finished reading that in my head I was hearing it in the voice of the Master of Coin in the closing scene, Game of Thrones.

Well done, good Sir.

That pass was incomplete. Should have never been called complete on the field.
Looked complete to me and a whole lot of other people.... They finally stated that the ball was touched by a Miami player who was out of bounds but there is absolutely no evidence of that in the replay.... absolutely nothing conclusive. That, just like the initial pass interference call on Texas Saturday, was a terrible call. Had I been in Austin Saturday, I might have thrown a water bottle after that one, too. Goober amateur college officials sometimes make bad mistakes and sometimes they cost teams games.

Where is our resident Zebra commentary?
It was ugly. Initial call was horrendous. If the crew had immediately got together and announced there was no foul, (done in the NFL all the time), it wouldn't have been a major issue. The B should have immediately gone to the F and told him he needed to make sure he had it right. I felt bad for the R, who is a TCU alum and a good friend of mine, not that anybody really cares about what I have to say.

LOL.

This board appreciates your contributions. Given the purpose of the board and the general silliness of online sports forums, it's easy for that to not appear to be the case.

I know. I'm a Texas alumnus. I know a couple of Texas alums who could pay for it and not think twice about it - like I'd pay a $25 fine. Also, they'll never identify the kids who threw the bottles but it's not as bad as Tennessee fans hitting Kiffin with batteries. It was a horrible call at a key moment but I don't condone throwing things onto the field.
They didn't hit Kiffin with batteries. It was a golf ball.
