Why don't QBs wear shades on their helmets like LT does to cover their eyes. Seems like good defensive players often watch the QBs eyes in order to intercept the pass, why not just wear shades then?

I believe LT and others have gotten special permission for the tinted visor due to migraines. So, to answer your question, I think it is against the rules, and I imagine the litmus test for a QB to get permission would be fairly high.

I don't think players are allowed to wear "tinted" visors at the college level anymore. Only clear visors like Kerley wears.

Not sure why.........

Its because of neck injuries... if they need to immobilize the head and cannot remove the helmet, they need to be able to see the eyes.
