Portland Tribune: ESPN crew expects points from TCU, Dalton
ESPN's booth crew for Oregon State-Texas Christian game believes that the Horned Frogs are well-positioned for a run at a national championship, if they beat the Beavers at Cowboys Stadium.
The season-opening "Cowboys Classic" kicks off at 4:45 p.m. Saturday.
"I don't think there's any doubt," play-by-play man Brad Nessler says. "If Boise State beats Virginia Tech (on Saturday) and Oregon State (on Sept. 25 in Boise, Idaho), who's going to beat Boise State? And if TCU beats Oregon State, they'll be favored, I would imagine, in every game the rest of the season."
Analyst Todd Blackledge agrees, and gives a potential edge in the rankings and sentiment to TCU over Boise State, which stopped TCU 17-10 in last season's Fiesta Bowl. ...
