STILLWATER — Big 12 Board Chairman Burns Hargis said he remains optimistic that Missouri will stay in the conference, but the league has enough suitors to replace Missouri and expand to 12 teams.
The Oklahoma State University president ascended to Board chairman last week when Missouri Chancellor Brady Deaton stepped down when his university decided to explore its conference options.
“I’m not sure if that’s a distinction or a punishment with everything we’ve been through. I think everything is looking up. I’m real optimistic,” Hargis said. ...
