Lack of production from 1-5 hitters

The 1-5 batters in our lineup have not been producing yet. Von Tugeln in the leadoff spot has failed to get a hit so far, Pena has been struggling, Coats got his first two hits this afternoon but were singles that didn't produced, Weik got his first hit of the season today in the 14th inning with his HR but had nothing before that, and Featherston is not doing well either.

Is this just early season rust?

No worries.... Far too early to assess or even wonder about in my opinion. Those guys are just too solid to be concerned.

Texas lost yesterday 10-1 to Maryland. Things happen to good teams. It's life. Not everyone can be Greg McElroy up until the SCar game.

We're too talented and too well coached for adjustments not to be made and for fire to be lit.

No way we make it to Omaha. These guys suck if they cant hit against Kansas.

I am kidding. No reason to worry. First three games of the season. They will be hitting in no time. If not, we have production elsewhere we can move around.
