So the Big East is or isn't going to form a network?

The Big East may be slower than even the NCAA at making important decisions. Just a fact, not a judgment on my part. For example, 'Nova for football?

But if they ultimately get it right, no big deal in the long term.

With an organization as diverse as this conference, trying to get it right might take a lot of time and energy.

I think the conference has to have a BEN, as soon as possible. But I doubt it's possible until they figure out what they are going to do with it, at least more or less. It'd be harder to fix than it would be to get right the first time. Witness the MWC television contract.

If posters on their boards are to be believed, there is no understanding as to what teams will participate. It's assumed UTx won't; and OU likely won't (although there are rumors that OU's network idea isn't working; market too small) but might; A&M who knows; 7 dwarfes, what do they have that anyone would watch besides KU basketball?
