Nichols Transfers: Five-star recruit Millie Nichols, who played Nos. 5 and 6 singles and some at No. 1 doubles as a freshman at Tennessee, has transferred to TCU.
Nichols is from Austin, Texas, and her older brother, Zach, played at TCU and is currently an assistant coach on the Horned Frogs men's team. Her older sister, Kewa, also played at TCU.
"Basically, it's a better fit for her to be closer to home,'' said Lady Vols co-head coach Mike Patrick, who is in Europe recruiting. "It's good for both parties.''
Nichols was 27-12 in singles and 27-11 in doubles during the regular season.
"She did a good job,'' Patrick said. "She improved a lot.'' ...
