I've been wondering what Hoss Brock would think of the BCS.

What a character and always had an answer. Three of us were standing around and Jim came up, everyone one of us were greeted with Hiya Hoss.

Some of you may remember the time when Abe was sitting on the back of a metal folding chair during a game and fell off. It was a comical moment and embarrassed Abe.

Later Jim was to say, Ole Abe just got tired of sittin' on the back of that chair and the quickest way to do that was to fall off. You just had to know the moment.

He was a very popular SID for TCU!.

(Right SID.My bad. Plead old age)

1. Hoss was never AD. He was SID.

2. He'd love BCS because it is all for the bowls and the dough. Sorry, but that's the way it is.

Correct. Brock was a character, but the very definition of a big bowl "cigar". You are right that he was a bowl guy all the way, but he likely wouldn't have cared for the fact that the Cotton fell to second tier status.

Cotton Bowl might be a BCS bowl if Hoss was still around.
