Interesting thought. The league still technically does own that trademark, so I suppose they could. I think it's more likely the league dissolves in that scenario, but it's fun to think about.

The longwhorn conference instituted some pretty draconian exit penalties last year IIRC. Just wondering ...... if A$M AND Mizzou go SEC, and for conversational purposes the BEast adds KU, K St. and one of either Tech, OSU, Iowa St. and baylor.... that would make 5 teams withdrawing from the conference at once.
Wouldn't the exit penalties go away if half the conference decided to leave?
