BOISE — The body that made Ebo Makinde a workout warrior for Boise State simultaneously tried to keep him off the field to make the most of that potential.
A sophomore cornerback, Makinde started the spring out strong, but came down with a bout of mononucleosis that sidelined him for a few weeks. Once he was cleared to work out again, he tore a pectoral muscle lifting weights in the offseason.
Boise State’s “ultimate blacksmith” for his weight room prowess during his redshirt year in 2009, Makinde has bided his time, waiting to be a difference maker. ...
