This article is spot on. Went back to read what he predicted in 2010, and that too was on the money. He's saying it all comes down to the war on the blue turf...and he's not ruling us out. Says forget "the little guys" label now and forever...compares us to Miami of the '80s.

Food for thought:

Seeing that we should be favored in every game except BSU, here is the rundown of the two according to CFN:
Offense:
QB Edge BSU: BSU - 9.5; TCU - 7
RB Edge TCU: BSU - 7; TCU - 9.5
WR Edge TCU: BSU - 6; TCU - 6.5
O-Line Edge BSU: BSU - 7.5; TCU - 6.5

Defense:
D-Line Edge BSU: BSU - 9; TCU - 8
LB Edge TCU: BSU - 8; TCU - 9
DB Edge TCU: BSU - 7; TCU - 7.5

Special Teams:
ST Edge TCU: BSU 7; TCU 9

Over the last three years, TCU has had 13 players drafted. Over that same span, Texas has had 14 players picked by the NFL, Texas Tech has had six, and Texas A&M has had just three players selected. The difference between TCU, the other major Texas football programs, and old school Miami is that the talent is developed more than brought in. The Horned Frogs don’t get the four and five-star guys in bulk that Mack Brown gets by turning the fax machine on, but that has turned out to be a plus for TCU.

Brown’s complaint last year with his disaster of a Texas team was that it came to Austin with a sense of entitlement. Because the Longhorns were supposed to win simply by being Longhorns, they forgot to bust their tails along the way. There’s no such problem at TCU where head coach Gary Patterson takes players who were passed over by other top schools, instills in them an attitude that they can beat the big-name teams by working harder, and develops them into big-time producers. Just as important, this is all happening without a whiff of trouble. TCU was the bright, shining, gleaming-clean star in the Sports Illustrated piece on the criminal element in college football, and there hasn’t been any sort of issues during Patterson’s tenure.

I think he is underestimating our D Line.

And how can their linebackers be rated that close to ours?

Other than that, pretty good analysis. Looks like both OLines have some question marks. Maybe Kellen Moore will actually get sacked this year.

Speaking of D-lines: any word on whether Pierson and/or Hunter might RS, or will they plug in on some plays for Yendrey and Burns/Coleman right out of the box? As thin as the DT position looks to be this season, I think both players have 4-year starting potential.
