FORT WORTH – The TCU SuperFrog has been selected as one of 16 finalists in the 2011 Capital One Mascot Challenge. Established in 2002, the Capital One Mascot Challenge annually crowns the top mascot in all of Division I.

SuperFrog will be joined by Testudo (Maryland), Buzz (Georgia Tech), Sparty (Michigan State), Brutus (Ohio State), Cy (Iowa State), Boomer (Oklahoma), Benny Beaver (Oregon State), The Duck (Oregon), Wilbur (Arizona), Mike the Tiger (LSU), Aubie (Auburn), Hairy Dawg (Georgia), Big Red (Western Kentucky), Big Blue (Old Dominion) and Wolfie Jr. (Nevada).

SuperFrog will be featured in this year's Capital One Mascot Challenge television ads, which will be aired nationally. In addition, SuperFrog will be featured in other television spots, newspaper ads, Internet media stories, blogs and other on-line videos featured on capitalonebowl.com.

Voting for the mascot of the year is open now. The mascots are matched up against each other each week throughout the season, with the top eight in voting advancing to the playoffs later in the year.

TCU fans are encouraged to visit capitalonebowl.com, or click on the Mascot Challenge link on GoFrogs.com, and cast their votes early and often, as there are no limits on the number of votes an individual may cast online. Text voting is restricted to an hourly maximum of 250 votes per hour. Once you reach the maximum, you will receive a notice message and will be unable to vote for the next 12 hours. Standard messaging costs apply.
