Burleson led the blocking effort for TCU and finished with three total blocks for the match.</p><p> </p><p>The Wildcats (17-2, 4-1 Big 12) were led by Kylee Zumach, who finished with a match-high 11 kills. Kersten Kober picked up 14 digs, while Katie Brand dished out the assists and finished with 33 on the night.</p><p> </p><p>TCU was able to grab the early lead against the Wildcats after a block from Burleson and Holland gave the Frogs a 6-3 advantage. Kansas State quickly responded to snag the lead away, as a service error by Smith gave the Wildcats a 15-13 edge into the media timeout.</p><p> </p><p>Errors by TCU along with the strong blocking by Kansas State limited the Frogs the remainder of the set, as the Wildcats closed out the set on a 10-5 run to take the first set 25-18.</p><p> </p><p>A kill from McGuire got TCU started off on the right track in the second set, as Swanegan checked into the match and was able to strike down multiple kills to lead the Frogs to a 9-6 lead. Kansas State was able to counter back and chipped away at the lead to notch it all even at 17-17. Too many errors down the stretch cost the Frogs the set, as a late service run by Brand put the Wildcats in control as Kansas State won the set 25-21 and took a 2-0 lead in the match.</p><p> </p><p>The start of the third set would be a battle back and forth, as TCU was able to get offensive points from Holland, McGuire, Swanegan and Smith. The teams would tie on eight occasions in the first few points, but 7-0 run by the Wildcats proved to be too much for the Frogs to overcome, as Kansas State took the final set 25-21 and the sweep of the match.</p><p> </p><p>TCU will now go on a two-game road swing and will travel to Lawrence, Kan., first to take on Kansas on Saturday, Oct. 18 at Noon, with the match set to air live on ESPN3.
