GoFrogs: Track and Field Wraps up Corky Classic

LUBBOCK, Texas – TCU track and field wrapped up competition at the Corky Classic on Saturday with a strong showing in the sprints.

Tabitha Ngao won the lone event for the Frogs, taking the mile title in 4:50.57. In the 200m, Indya Mayberry ran the second fastest time in the nation this season with a 22.78, and Kashie Crocket posted the fourth fastest time for the men with a 20.69.

Defending Big 12 Champions, Iyana Gray also finished sixth in the 200m in 23.56.

Georgia Scott and Drew Oliver earned top eight finishes in the 1000m. Scott finished fifth for the women with a 2:55.55, and Oliver placed eighth with a time of 2:26.70. TCU also saw success in the 600 yard race. Lloyd Frilot and Giovouni Henry ran personal best times to finish third and sixth, respectively. On the women's side, Amelliah Birdow took sixth with a 1:21.86.

The women's 4x400 relay closed out the meet with a 10th place finish. Kelaiah Daniyan, Gray, Morgan Maddox and Laila Smith turned in a 3:41.12 as a squad.
