TCU Prepares to Host No. 11 Oklahoma State
Contest tips at 7 p.m., Wednesday at Daniel-Meyer Coliseum
FORT WORTH, Texas - The TCU women's basketball team returns to Daniel-Meyer Coliseum at 7 p.m., on Wednesday when it plays host to No. 11 Oklahoma State.
LAST TIME OUT
• TCU dropped a 63-52 decision to Oklahoma in Norman on Saturday evening to drop to 12-7 overall and 3-4 in Big 12 play.
• The Horned Frogs struggled offensively, shooting just 24 percent from the field, including a 4-of-25 (16%) effort in the first half.
• Junior guard Natalie Ventress paced TCU with 14 points, connecting on a season-best four 3-pointers on eight attempts while tying a season high with three steals.
• Junior guard Donielle Breaux scored in double figures for the seventh time this season with 11 points, including a string of eight-straight points to cut the Oklahoma lead down to nine with under two minutes to play.
• Junior forward Chelsea Prince played just 22 minutes due to foul trouble, but managed to score nine points and snag a season-best 10 rebounds. Prince was a perfect 7-of-7 from the free-throw line, which was a career best.
THE OPPONENT
• Oklahoma State is coming off of just its second loss of the season, falling to No. 10 Baylor on Sunday in overtime to drop to 17-2 overall and 6-2 in Big 12 play.
• The Cowgirls enter Wednesday's contest ranked No. 11 in both national polls.
• Oklahoma State averages over 75 points per game while limiting the opposition to a league-low 54.6 points per contest for the second-highest scoring margin (+20.8) in the Big 12.
• OSU is one of the top shooting teams in the Big 12, ranking second in field-goal percentage (.440) and third in 3-point percentage (.346).
• OSU features one of the top defensive squads in the nation, leading the country in 3-point field-goal percentage defense (.213) while placing third in field-goal percentage defense (.335) and fourth in scoring defense (54.6).

• The Horned Frogs currently rank 21st nationally in scoring defense, holding opponents to just 57.4 points per game, while ranking sixth in the country by limiting the opposition to just 34.0 percent shooting from the field.
• TCU has held 12 of its 19 opponents this season to under 35-percent shooting from the field and 15 of 19 to under 40 percent. The Horned Frogs have been a terror for opponents in the paint, ranking sixth nationally with 6.1 blocks per contest.
• TCU also leads the Big 12 with 10.2 steals per game, as five Horned Frogs rank among the top 15 steal-getters in the league. Junior forward Chelsea Prince leads the Big 12 in steals (2.3 spg) during conference play.

Senior Latricia Lovings has developed into one of the top defensive players in the country, currently ranking third nationally with 3.7 blocks per game after finishing last season at No. 3 in the country with 3.6 blocks per contest.
• Lovings has racked up the most blocks in the nation since the start of the 2012-13 season with 180 total rejections, eight ahead of Iona's Sabrina Jeridore.
• With 269 total blocks in her career, Lovings ranks second in program history behind only TCU great Sandora Irvin's 480 swats.
• Lovings has actually increased her production against Big 12 opponents, averaging 4.3 blocks in seven contests, including three games of six or more rejections.
• Lovings has swatted at least one shot in 58 consecutive games dating back to Feb. 1, 2012. TCU great Sandora Irvin holds the school record with 62-straight games with a block.
• Lovings has racked up 17 single-game performances of five or more blocks in her career, including seven this season, and racked up a career-best 10 rejections in TCU's contest against Stephen F. Austin on Dec. 4, marking the fourth-highest total in school history.

Junior guard Natalie Ventress has scored eight or more points in each of her last 11 games and is shooting 44 percent (49-of-111) from the field and 39 percent (21-of-54) from 3-point range after shooting just 22 percent from beyond the arc in the first six contests.
The Fort Worth native, who has 70 career starts and has played in 77 of 82 career games, connected on a season-best four 3-pointers on Saturday at Oklahoma and is just three treys shy of tying Adrienne Ross (2003-08) for seventh spot in school history.
