AN HISTORICAL WEEKEND
The Horned Frogs made history over the weekend as they notched their first-ever Big 12 series sweep. History was made at the expense of the West Virginia Mountaineers. TCU is 6-5 in Big 12 series since joining the league last season.

TCU excelled in all three phases of the game to earn the sweep. Offensively, the Frogs hit .343. On the mound, the pitching staff held the Mountaineers to four runs on 12 hits the entire weekend. Defensively, the Frogs committed just two errors for a .982 fielding percentage.

It was the first sweep for the Horned Frogs since the 2012 season when the Horned Frogs swept Air Force May 11-13.

THE ONE-HIT WONDER
Preston Morrison did something no other Horned Frog has done in the history of the program. For the second time in his career, Morrison tossed a nine-inning one-hitter. Morrison pitched the last two one-hitters for TCU. His last one came on May 19, 2012 against San Diego State.

It was the 18th one-hitter in school history and just the seventh nine-inning one-hitter. Thirteen of the 18 were accomplished by just one pitcher. No pitcher took part in more than one one-hitter.

ON A TEAR
Derek Odell is in the midst of a six game hitting streak that has seen him raise his batting average 77 points from .253 to .330. The junior is hitting .619 (13-for-21) with nine runs scored during the streak with five multi-hit games.

Even more impressive is his .704 on-base percentage during the streak. He reached base in 19-of-28 plate appearances.

THE FLIP TO APRIL
TCU is off to a 4-0 start in the month of April. The Horned Frogs are no strangers to heating up at the right time as they boast a 136-45 record in the month of April under the guidance of head coach Jim Schlossnagle.

In four games this month, the Horned Frogs have seen their batting average climb from .270 to .278. The Frogs have tallied 10 or more hits in all four games.

On the mound, the staff has lowered its ERA from 2.98 to 2.82. They have been touched for just 10 runs in 36 innings. Opponents are hitting just .183 this month.

ON THE ROAD AGAIN
The Horned Frogs will play eight of their next nine games away from Lupton Stadium. TCU is 3-4 in true road games this season.

They have been outscored 36-32 away from home and are hitting just .264 with eight doubles and two home runs.

Derek Odell is TCU's best hitter away from home with a .440 average. He leads the squad with 11 hits, eight runs scored and five RBIs.
