AN INSIDE LOOK AT THE STREAK
Brance Rivera continued his torrid hitting streak, notching two hits on Wednesday night to push his hitting streak to 24 games, the longest in coach Schlossnagle's tenure.

Chad Huffman previously held the mark with a 22-game streak in 2006.

The streak has seen Rivera hit in every game this season and has produced a .430 batting average.

He has a team-high 13 multiple-hit contests. Breaking it down, he has eight two-hit contests, four three-hit contests and one four-hit game.

13 times, Rivera has extended his streak in his first at-bat of the game. Only twice has he needed his final at-bat to keep the streak alive.

MOVING ON UP
In game two of the UNLV series, coach Schlossnagle made a lineup adjustment, moving Aaron Schultz to the second spot in the batting order.

That move has paid dividends for Schultz, who has raised his batting average 85 points from .279-.364 over the last seven contests.

He has collected 16 base hits and tallied 10 RBIs out of the two-hole. He is hitting .471 over the last seven games.

Additionally, the redshirt junior has put together a 10-game hitting streak. The last eight games of the streak have seen Schultz tally at least two hits.

On Sunday, Schultz connected for his second career grand slam. His first came on May 9, 2010 at New Mexico.

On the year, Schultz ranks second on the team and eighth in the league with a .360 batting average. His 15 total RBIs are fourth most on the squad and his eight stolen bases are tops on the team.

He has played a flawless outfield with three assists.

On the flip side, the pitching staff has done a good job closing out the innings, limiting opponents to just 24 two-out runs.

The Horned FRogs are hitting .295 a3 a team with two outs, while their opponents are hitting just .164.

HOME FIELD ADVANTAGE?
The Horned Frogs have posted a 9-7 record so far this season at home. The spacious Lupton Stadium has lived up to its reputation of holding balls in the park as there have been just 13 home runs hit in the 16 home games this season.

Opponents have not fared well at Lupton as the pitching staff has utilized the stadium dimensions to its advantage. TCU foes are hitting just .220 and have just 26 extra base hits in 533 at-bats.

Kyle Winkler is 3-0 in four home starts with a miniscule 0.32 ERA.

The Frog offense is hitting .294 as a team and have racked up 54 extra base hits. Brance Rivera has enjoyed the home cooking to the tune of a .444 batting average.
