At the Marriott Center, TCU trailed by as many as 16 points in the second half before rallying, but BYU was able to hold the Frogs at bay late to claim a 70-65 victory at the Marriott Center. </p><p></p><p> <strong>Scouting BYU</strong></p><p>BYU, who is 18-7 overall and 10-1 in the MWC, comes into Saturday receiving votes in the Associated Press Poll. The Cougars are currently in first-place in the MWC standings. </p><p></p><p> BYU, who will be playing with a heavy heart as sophomore forward Alexis Kaufusi was recently diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma, has won seven-straight and topped in-state rival Utah last Saturday, 61-58. </p><p></p><p> Mindy Bonham has led the Cougar offense this season, averaging 12. 3 points and over five assists, while Coriann Fraughton has also been productive, scoring 11.4 points and 7.2 boards. </p><p></p><p> <strong>Taking Care Of The Rock</strong></p><p>Senior <a href="http://gofrogs.cstv.com/sports/w-baskbl/mtt/sverrisdottir_helena00.html" target="_blank">Helena Sverrisdottir</a> has been steady with the ball in her hands during the Frogs' current four-game winning streak. Not only has she only had two turnovers, but the Iceland native has also tallied 18 assists. She has also scored in double figures all four contests, including an 18-point performance in her last outing against Colorado State Wednesday night. </p><p></p><p> <strong>February Frenzy</strong></p><p>TCU is currently on a four-game winning streak and if recent trends hold true, the Horned Frogs should have a successful February as TCU has only lost four times during the month since 2007-08. </p><p></p><p> Overall, the Horned Frogs, who will take a current 4-0 February record into Saturday's contest, have closed the season strong during the month of February, combining to go 22-4 since 2007-08. Last season alone, the Frogs only lost one contest during the month, recording a 6-1 record, including opening the month on a four-game winning streak. </p><p></p><p> In two of the last four years, the Horned Frogs have gone on a six-game winning streak during the month. </p><p></p><p> <strong>Crawford Honored By Mountain West Conference</strong></p><p>Sophomore <a href="http://gofrogs.cstv.com/sports/w-baskbl/mtt/crawford_starr00.html" target="_blank">Starr Crawford</a> was named Mountain West Conference Women's Basketball Co-Player of the Week Monday. It is the first MWC weekly honor for Crawford and the second of her career. For the week, Crawford averaged 17.0 points, 13.5 rebounds and 2.0 steals per game. </p><p></p><p> <strong>Streaky Shooting Usually Delivers Victory</strong></p><p>During two of its last four outings, the Frogs have had at least one individual go perfect from the field. During those two contests, <a href="http://gofrogs.cstv.com/sports/w-baskbl/mtt/sverrisdottir_helena00.html" target="_blank">Helena Sverrisdottir</a> (6-of-6) and <a href="http://gofrogs.cstv.com/sports/w-baskbl/mtt/gross_delisa01.html" target="_blank">Delisa Gross</a> (7-of-7) were simply unstoppable. Overall, TCU has had at least one individual shoot 100 percent in 12 games this season. During that time, the Frogs are 9-3 overall. </p><p></p><p> <strong>Scoring In The Paint Important For TCU Success</strong></p><p>In its last outing against CSU, the Frogs outscored the Rams in the paint, 26-12, which marked the fourth-straight game in which TCU has dominated down low. During conference play, TCU has outscored its opponent down low in nine of the 12 contests. </p><p></p><p> The three games in which the Frogs were either tied with or outscored by their opponent in the paint were BYU (14-30), New Mexico (18-24) and Air Force (24-24). TCU's record during those contests, 1-2, with BYU being the lone victory. </p><p></p><p> <strong>Dominating Defense</strong></p><p>For the season, TCU has held six different opponents under 50 points. The sophomore and preseason All-America candidate by Sporting News has posted double-digit scoring games in 11 out of the 15 contests, which has led TCU an 12-3 record. Not only has she only had two turnovers, but the Iceland native has also tallied 18 assists. [b]February Frenzy[/b] TCU is currently on a four-game winning streak and if recent trends hold true, the Horned Frogs should have a successful February as TCU has only lost four times during the month since 2007-08. Overall, the Horned Frogs, who will take a current 4-0 February record into Saturday's contest, have closed the season strong during the month of February, combining to go 22-4 since 2007-08. Last season alone, the Frogs only lost one contest during the month, recording a 6-1 record, including opening the month on a four-game winning streak.
