*The Horned Frogs are playing in Austin on Thanksgiving for the second time in three seasons, representing both its trips since joining the Big 12. TCU won 20-13 at Texas in 2012.
*Prior to its 2012 contest in Austin, TCU had not played on Thanksgiving since a 15-6 win at SMU on Nov. 29, 1928.
*The Horned Frogs have a 27-3 record as a top-10 team under head coach Gary Patterson, including a 23-2 mark when in the top 5.
*TCU has defeated four ranked opponents in its last seven games, including two in the top 10.
*The Horned Frogs have opened with a record of 9-1 or better for the fourth time in the last seven seasons and sixth time in 14 years under Patterson.
*The Horned Frogs have won 10 of their last 11 regular-season games after an open date.
*Thursday will mark the 1,200th game in TCU's football history. In their last trip to Austin, the Horned Frogs recorded their 600th win all-time. Overall, TCU is 613-529-57 (.535).
*TCU will be playing in the state of Texas for the ninth time in 11 games this season. The Horned Frogs have had six home games in addition to road contests at SMU and Baylor.
*Patterson is 1-2 as a head coach versus Texas.

SERIES NOTES
*Thursday marks the 85th meeting between TCU and Texas. The Longhorns hold a 62-21-1 advantage in a series that began with an 18-10 Texas win in 1897.
*TCU is 12-34-1 versus Texas in Austin and 9-28-0 in Fort Worth.
*The Horned Frogs' 2012 win at Texas snapped a 15-game losing streak in Austin that dated back to 1969.
*Texas is TCU's fourth-most played series. The Horned Frogs' 84 games with the Longhorns trail only Baylor (110), SMU (94) and Texas A&M (92).

A LOOK BACK AT 2012
*TCU set the tone in its 2012 Thanksgiving win at Texas on its opening possession with a 14-play, 94-yard touchdown drive covering 7:10.
*TCU ran for 217 yards in the game and passed for 82. Trevone Boykin led the Horned Frogs with 77 yards on 10 carries while completing 7-of-9 passes for 82 yards.

ROAD WARRIORS

*The lone score in the game was a second-quarter touchdown pass from quarterback Sonny Gibbs to Buddy Iles.

TCU NOTABLES
*Under new co-coordinators Doug Meacham and Sonny Cumbie, TCU has the nation's most improved offense in both total yards (+196.8 ypg) and scoring (+20.8 ppg) from last season. The 20.8 increase in scoring is on pace to set a Big 12 record and would be the largest improvement by any team since Northwestern (24.0 ppg) between 1999-00.
*TCU is en route to breaking single-season school records for points, first downs, plays, passing yards and total offense.
*TCU is second in the nation in scoring offense (45.9 ppg) and fourth in total offense (541.6 ypg).
*Trevone Boykin tops the Big 12 and is third nationally in total offense (356.9 ypg).
*Boykin is on pace to become just the third quarterback nationally since 2009 to average over 300 yards passing (302.1) and 50 yards rushing (54.8). The other two were Heisman Trophy winners Robert Griffin III and Johnny Manziel.
