CORPUS CHRISTI - No. 19 TCU dominated in all three facets of the game en route to a 10-0 win over BYU in its opening game of the Kleberg Bank Classic. Dylan Fitzgerald and Boomer White led the offense with three RBIs each.

Brandon Finnegan (2-0) turned in his second solid start of the season. The left-hander threw seven shutout innings, allowed six hits and struck out nine. Brian Trieglaff allowed a hit and struck out one in his lone inning of work. Making his collegiate debut, Ryan Burnett allowed a hit, walked a batter and struck out one in his lone inning of work.

TCU took advantage of a shaky start from the Cougars' Kolton Mahoney to put up three runs on just two hits in the first. Cody Jones battled back from a 0-2 count to work a lead-off walk. Boomer White was hit by the pitch with one out to put two on. A wild pitch advanced both runners 90 feet and Derek Odell put the Frogs in front with an infield single. Dylan Fitzgerald followed with a two-run triple.

After being held off the board in the second, the Horned Frogs took advantage of a lead-off single from Connor Castellano in the third to add to its lead. Castellano stole second and advanced to third on a wild pitch. Odell punched a one-out single into left, driving in his second run of the game to make it a 4-0 game.

TCU picked up another run in the fifth to extend its lead to 5-0. Cody Jones led off the inning with a base hit. An error and a hit batter loaded the bases with two outs. Fitzgerald battled through a seven pitch at-bat to draw the bases loaded walk, collecting his third RBI of the game.

The Frogs batted around in the sixth and scored four times to build a commanding 9-0 lead. Two hits and a walk loaded the bases for Boomer White who delivered a bases-clearing double down the left field line. After a passed ball, Kevin Cron dumped a single into center to drive in White with the ninth run of the game for TCU.

Finnegan ran into his first bit of trouble in the bottom of the sixth. Three straight singles with two outs had the bases full of Cougars. The lefty kept the shutout intact with his seventh strikeout of the game to end the inning.

A slew of pinch hitters in the ninth inning helped the Frogs push across its 10th run of the game. Keaton Jones led off the frame with his second hit of the afternoon. A ground out and a passed ball Jones standing on third with one out and he scored on a ground out off the bat of Will Fox to account for the final score.

TCU (4-1) will return to action in the Kleberg Bank Classic Saturday night when it takes on the host school, Texas A&M-Corpus Christi at 6. Preston Morrison will make his second start of the season for the Horned Frogs.
