BATON ROUGE, La. – In one of the most competitive tournaments of the regular season, No. 4 TCU fell to No. 1 USC, 5-0, and No. 2 UCLA, 5-0, on Day One of the Death Volley Invitational on Friday.
The Horned Frogs are now 18-4 on the season.
QUICK HITS AGAINST NO. 1 USC
• Ana Vergara and Tara Patton finished first for TCU from the No. 4 position: 21-19, 19-21, 6-15.
• The two were one of three Horned Frog pairs on the day to force three sets against the first-ranked Trojans.
• Olivia Clines and Morgan Williams narrowly fell to USC's Radell/Thomas at No. 5: 21-18, 15-21, 15-17.
• It was the first career showing for the pairing.
• Luana Araco and Hallie Corinne Frist lost 16-21, 14-21 to USC's A. Nouse/N. Nouse.
• From the No. 2 position, Sutton MacTavish and Anete Namike fell 15-21, 17-21.
• It was the second showing this season for the pairing. The duo is now 1-1.

• Luana Araco and Hallie Corinne Frist fell to UCLA's Van Winkle/Whitmarsh from the No. 4 position: 16-21, 15-21.
• Araco is now 6-3 individually on the season while Frist moves to 8-4.
• Olivia Clines and Morgan Williams lost at the No. 5 position to UCLA's Alden/Myszkowski: 18-21, 13-21.
• From the No. 3 position, Ana Vergara and Tara Patton fell 12-21, 19-21.
• Vergara is now 14-5 on the season while Patton is 9-12.
• Sutton MacTavish and Anete Namike finished fourth for the Frogs from the No. 2 position: 15-21, 13-21.
• Hailey Hamlett and Anhelina Khmil fell at the No. 1 spot to UCLA's Denaburg/Boyd: 22-24, 19-21.
• The duo are now 19-3 this season, all from the No. 1 position.
• This is the first time in program history TCU has faced the No. 1 and the No. 2 teams in the country in back-to-back matches on the same day.
