GoFrogs: No. 12 TCU Capitalizes In Win at No. 19 DBU
DALLAS – No. 12 TCU capitalized on a trio of errors to top No.19 DBU, 9-6, Tuesday night at Horner Ballpark. Louis Rodriguez fanned a career-high seven out of the bullpen to pick up the win in relief.

The Rundown
Dallas Baptist took advantage of a miscue in the outfield to take a 1-0 lead on a sacrifice fly in the first.

TCU responded with four runs in the third to take a lead it would never relinquish. With the bases loaded, an errant throw home allowed Karson Bowen to tie the game at one. Logan Maxwell followed with an RBI single to put the Frogs on top. A two-run double from Kurtis Byrne gave the Frogs breathing room.

Louis Rodriguez (2-0) took over in the third with a run in and the tying runs on base. He fanned two and left the bases loaded. He tossed 3 2/3 scoreless innings, allowing four hits, walking one and striking out a career-high seven in picking up the win in relief.

TCU picked up a pair of insurance runs in sixth to push its lead to four, 6-2. An errant throw following a passed ball with two outs allowed Anthony Silva to score. Chase Brunson followed with a double to drive in Ryder Robinson.

Three more unearned runs crossed the plate in the eighth as TCU's lead grew to 9-2. A two-out error allowed a pair of runs to score and a wild pitch gifted the Frogs its final run.

DBU picked up two runs in the eighth to pull within five, 9-4. Colt Taylor came on with the bases loaded and only one out. He limited the damage to only one run as he retired both batters he faced. In the ninth, Kyle Ayers bounced back from a two run home run with three straight strikeouts to end the game.
