FORT WORTH--TCU and Utah will tip off for the final time in regular-season play as Mountain West Conference rivals Tuesday, as the Horned Frogs travel to Salt Lake City for an 8 p.m. MT matchup at the Utes' Huntsman Center. The contest will be televised live by the MountainWest Sports Network (The Mtn.).

TCU, 10-18 overall this season and 1-12 in the Mountain West Conference, looks to snap several steaks Tuesday, including a 10-game losing streak overall and an eight-game road skid. The Horned Frogs dropped a 75-62 decision to Utah in the teams' previous meeting this season on Jan. 22 in Fort Worth.

Utah, 12-15 overall and sixth in the MWC with a 5-8 league mark, brings a two-game winning streak into Tuesday following victories against Wyoming and New Mexico. The Utes trailed the Lobos by 13 points in the second half Saturday before pulling out a two-point road win at The Pit, 62-60.
TCU and Utah will be meeting for the final time in the regular season as MWC members. The Utes will join the Pac 10 Conference following this season, while the Frogs are headed to the Big East in 2012-13. Utah holds a 15-4 all-time advantage against TCU, including a 9-2 edge in games played in Salt Lake City.

Tuesday's game marks TCU's 16th televised matchup this season and its 14th on The Mtn. Broadcast duties will be handled by Tim Neverett (play-by-play) and Blaine Fowler (analyst). The Mtn. is available nationwide on DirecTV channel 616.

FROG QUICK NOTES
- J.R. Cadot has scored at least 12 points in three consecutive games, leading TCU in each contest. He previously had not reached double figures since the Dec. 28 home win over Chicago State.

- Cadot is averaging 15.0 ppg over the last three games, shooting 70.4% (19-of-27) from the field.

- Hank Thorns is one assist shy of tying Mike Jones (1997-98) for fifth place on TCU's single-season assist chart with 181 helpers. He needs nine more to match teammate Ronnie Moss' total last season (189) for the No. 4 spot.

- Thorns' assist average (6.67 apg) would rank him third among TCU's top all-time individual seasons. Tony Edmond (1989-90) owns the TCU record with an 8.1-assist average.

- Thorns leads the MWC in assists and was No. 6 nationally as of Feb. 17. He also is No. 2 in the MWC and No. 23 in the NCAA in assist/turnover ratio (2.61).

- As of Feb. 17, Thorns was the only player among the nation's top-9 players in assists and top-43 in assist-turnover ratio.

- Thorns has seven 10-assist games, five more than any other MWC player. He is one of only four players in the nation with at least seven such efforts this season.

- Garlon Green ranks No. 2 in the MWC in 3-point shooting (47.8%) and is No. 7 in treys made in MWC games only (1.77 3 pg).

- Amric Fields ranks No. 2 among all MWC freshmen in scoring (7.3 ppg) and No. 5 in rebounding (2.9 rpg).

- TCU is shooting 47.5% from the field at home with an average scoring margin of +4.5 ppg, compared to figures of 39.2% and -11.7 ppg away from Fort Worth.

- TCU is 10-1 when scoring over 70 points this season and 0-17 when failing to reach the mark.

SCOUTING THE UTAH UTES
Utah, led by fourth-year head coach Jim Boylen, is 12-15 overall this season and sixth in the MWC standings with an 5-8 mark Saturday's 62-60 road victory at New Mexico. The Utes returned six letterwinners and one starter from last season's team that went 14-17 overall and tied for fifth in the MWC with a 7-9 league record.

As a team, Utah averages 68.7 ppg with a -2.0 average scoring margin. The squad leads the MWC in blocked shots (5.07 bpg) and owns a +0.9 average rebounding margin, which ranks fifth in the league.

Four Frogs scored in double figures, including Hank Thorns, who matched a career high with 18 points while adding teams highs of six rebounds and six steals. Thorns made 8-of-16 shots from the field. The Utes went 16-of-26 from the floor in the opening period and made four 3-pointers to help offset a clean period for TCU on the offensive end of the court featuring only one turnover.
