GoFrogs: TCU Falls to Oklahoma State in NCEA Semifinal

OCALA, Fla. –
The fourth-ranked TCU equestrian team fell to top ranked Oklahoma State, 13-6, Friday afternoon in the second round of the NCEA National Championship at the World Equestrian Center.

"This is not the result we came here for but I am so proud of this team and the season we have had," Director of Equestrian Haley Schoolfield said. "The team has improved so much this season both in their athletic performance and team chemistry; it is a bittersweet day as we close the door on this season but we have so much to be grateful for and we have a lot to look forward to!"

THE RUNDOWN
The day started in the Fences arena where the Frogs fell to the Cowgirls, 3-2. Oklahoma State claimed the first three points followed by Isabella Baxter dominating her opponent 253-218 on Leon. Ashleigh Scully finished off the event strong carding a 240 on Emil.

No. 1 Oklahoma State had a strong showing in the Flat sweeping TCU 4-0. Wynne Weatherly tied her opponent 243,5 on Risky canceling out the fifth available point. This is just the second time this season that the Frogs have been swept in the event.

On the Western Seat side, TCU fell to Oklahoma State, 3-2. Jessica McAllister picked up her fourteenth win this season in the event with a 223-221.5 win on Pete. To wrap up the event, Payton Boutelle raked in her fifth win this season in Horsemanship carding a 224 on Garth.

The Frogs finished in Reining where they pulled in two more points. Jessica McAllister finished the day 2-0 with a 207.5-0 win on Cowboy and Shea Graham carded a 213.5 on Jelly Bean to tally the final point of the day for the Horned Frogs.
